How Much Whitening Can You Expect From Paint-on Tooth Whitening Products?
Paint-on tooth whitening products are very well marketed. In theory these are very powerful and should whiten your teeth quite well. Be warned! Paint-on products are the “get rich quick” type tooth whitening products.
Pain-on products do not contain whitening trays or strips. The bleaching chemical is applied to your teeth directly without protection.
What are pain-on products good for?
These products are the only ones you can directly apply to an individual tooth. It is difficult to whiten a single tooth otherwise.
Other than that, paint-on tooth whitening is for those who still believe in Tooth Fairy. Your gums and teeth must be in perfect health to use these. Use paint on products for quick fixes only.
What are they not good for?
These are not for serious bleaching. Clinical tests show only 2 to 4 shades of whitening power. If you only need a little whitening, whitening strips can get you the same results.
Tray-based products are better for serious whitening needs.
Paint-on products are either not powerful enough or too powerful. On the low end there is no whitening on the high end there is too much risk to your gums and tissue.
Pain-on tooth whitening products will not whiten your back teeth and the back of your teeth.
