Teeth Whitening Products and Comfort
Do you know what teeth whitening products do the best job?
The ones you can and willing to use.
Comfortable products do mean the difference between a “white smile” and no results at all.
Learn from my friend’s teeth whitening experience.
– His whitening kit ended up in the bathroom drawer.
But, how do you know what is comfortable and what isn’t?
You want whiter teeth. All products require you to tolerate some discomfort.
Everyone has a limit. Where is yours?
How much discomfort are you willing to accept for whiter teeth?
Comfort means all of the following things:
-
Buying comfort:
How easy is it to get the product of your choice?
-
Preparations:
How easy is it to prepare your teeth and gums before application? How easy is it to clean up after each treatment?
- Treatment comfort: How comfortable is it to use the whitening product? How much discomfort do you have to tolerate during treatments?
Not all whitening products are comfortable and powerful at the same time.
- Whitening toothpaste (comfortable, easy to use, not effective)

- Whitening strips (easy to use, no mess, moderately effective)
- Tray-based whitening products (most effective at-home whitening products, quality of tray is key to comfort)
- Paint-on whitening products (easy to use, not very effective)
- Professional teeth bleaching (unpredictable, but fast) more…
Evaluating whitening comfort
Comfort is a very personal topic. But it is a very important one. When I evaluate various products comfort comes right after whitening power. I take comfort seriously because uncomfortable products don’t work. They don’t work because you will not use them.
